    Aroma: Floral woody undertones, herbaceous, refreshing sweet.

     

    Color: Colorless or pale yellow.


    Note of Interest: Favorite perfume of Queen Henrietta Maria. Has wonderful skin properties. (Sellar). The Lavandula genus has over 30 species. The four main are angustifolia (true lavender), latfolia (spike lavender), intermedia (lavandin), stoechas (maritime lavender) (Battaglia) This is why the Latin name is SO important.


    Properties: Contact an aromatherapist. 

     

    Energetics: Chakras-All seven chakras. TCM-Cooling. Lavender nourishes the Yin, activates the Qi, clears heat and calms the Shen. (Holmes) Lavender calms the Wood and Fire and has a strong affinity for the Water Element. (Battaglia)
