Note of Interest: Should use the chemotype linalool.


Mode of Administration: Topical: massage, ointment. Inhalation via diffuser or direct inhalation. Not recommended for bath.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Geranium, Hyssop, Lavender, Marjoram, Melissa, Neroli, Sandalwood, & Verbena.


Safety Data: Avoid using Basil that has a high content of methyl cinnamate and methyl chavicol as will be an irritant with those with sensitive skin. For the most part, non-toxic, non-irritant. Possible sensitization for some, AVOID during pregnancy. Only Basil witha methyl chavicol content of 5% or less should be used in aromatherapy.
