Waxing Gibbous

August 23, 2026

The moon is nearly full now, gathering light and momentum.

This is the stretch for finishing what has already been set in motion, tending what is growing, and making the final adjustments before the full moon arrives.

Focus: refine • complete • prepare

Next full moon: August 27, 2026

A Time to Refine

The waxing gibbous moon carries us into the final stretch before fullness.

What began as an intention beneath the new moon has had time to grow. Now is the moment to look closeley at what is taking shape.

Not everything needs more.

Some things need adjusting. Some need patience. Some may need to be simplified so the original intention does not become buried beneath everything we had added along the way.

This phase is less about beginning something new and more about tending what is already in motion.

Refine what needs refining. Finish what can be finished. And leave room for what is still becoming.

A Simple Waxing Gibbous Ritual

You don't need anything elaborate.

Take a few quiet minutes with whatever you have been working toward since the new moon.

Ask yourself:

What is working?

What needs attention?

What can I simplify, finish or let go of before the moonreaches fullness?

Choose one small adjustment you can make now.

The waxing gibbous moon is not asking for perfection. It is simply an invitation to notice what is taking shape–and tend it with intention.

Optional botanical companions:

Basil for focus and purposeful action,

Cypress for transition and forward movement,

Vetiver for steadiness and staying grounded as you finish what you began.

The moon is almost full. There is no need to rush what is already becoming.

Make the adjustments. Tend to what matters. Finish what is ready to be finished–and trust the rest to unfold in its own time.

Until the moon turns again
